Police deny new attacks at Suguta valley
Kenya Police has denied reports that bandits have attacked police deployed to Baragoi. In a statement police spokesman Erick Kiraithe said no such attack has happened.
“Reports circulating in the media indicate that there has been contact between security officers and bandits. we wish to clarify that we are in communication with the operations and we have been advised that no such incident has been reported today,” said Kiraithe.
The police have recovered four more bodies of officers from the Saturday deadly attacks by bandits at Suguta Valley. The four are among the seven officers had earlier said they were missing.
The bodies of the four had been mauled by hyenas and was in bad shape. Police said they will have to depend on DNA tests to identify the officers.
