Kenya army warns 10 Somalia towns of attacks
Kenya military has warned Somalia living in 10 towns to be ware of imminent military attacks.
The military spokesman Emmanuel Chirchir warned residents of Baidoa,Afmadhow and Kismayu to be on the look out of attacks and avoid contact with Al Shabaab militants.
“The people of Somali especially those living in the areas of Baidoa, Baadheere, BAYDHABO, DINSUR, AFGOOYE, BWALE, BARAWE, JILIB, KISMAYO and AFMADHOW have been advised to avoid Al Shabaab camps or being used as conduits for the weapons,” said Chirchir in a statement.
“In line with the Kenya Defence Forces Strategy of diminishing Al Shabaab effectiveness and weapon use, the aforementioned towns will remain under imminent attack. Residents in the towns are advised to avoid contact with Al Shabaab militia,” says the statement.
The Kenya Defence Forces also urged anyone with relatives and friends in those areas to advise them accordingly.
