One dead in Berlin train crash..
One person has died from an accident involving a subway train and a circus truck at Berlin district of Kreuzberg.
Berlin city mayor Klaus Wowereit says transport has been restored in all lines apart from U1.The accident had interrupted transport on several lines like U1,U3 and U8 according to the spokesperson of Berlin Transportation Company BVG.
Police has denied earlier reports spread through Twitter that there was an explosion in the area that killed four people.
The accident took place after the circus truck belonging to ‘Fantasio’ fell off a bridge onto the rail truck. Our reporter on the ground says that no elephant is missing as earlier claimed by eyewitness.
An Automotive Association spokesperson rejects speed limit for cargo trucks but questions the transportation of large animals like elephants.
The person killed in the accident was a passerby though we could not establish what caused the death.
We have also established that Peter Berger who we reported as the fire brigade spokesman was just a witness. the fire brigade spokesperson is Eberhard Pflieger. The witness had said that three people had died in the 4pm accident.
We had earlier reported that four people had died from the accident through a Twitter witness.
